He joined GBS Finance in 2008, to focus on private equity and M&A. Mikel became a Partner in 2010. From 1997 to 2008, he worked at the private equity firm, 3i as head of the portfolio of Spanish investments, and was responsible for investments in the consumer sector.

Before 3i, he was head at Paribas Structured Finance and Investment Officer at Cofir.

Mikel holds a Bachelor’s Degrees in Law, Economics and Business Administration from ICADE (Universidad Pontifica de Comillas, Madrid).

Board member in more than 30 companies, among them there are Pepe Jeans, Imaginarium, Multiopticas, Bodybell, Hoss Intropia, Xey, Marqués de Atrio.
